March 23, 2000 - Elam Construction, Inc. celebrates a rockin’ record achievement of eight industry awards with a "We’re Rockin’ Now" Barbeque on Thursday, March 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Elam Corporate Office at 1225 South 7^th Street.

The eight awards that recognize the outstanding achievements of Elam Construction, Inc. are:

• National Asphalt Paving Association (NAPA) 1999 "Quality in Construction" for Hwy 50 from Hwy 141 to Whitewater
• NAPA 1999 "Quality in Construction" for Hwy 50 from Olathe to Montrose
• NAPA "Diamond Asphalt Plant" award for the Roland Plant, Elam’s Hot Asphalt Plant in Grand Junction
• 1999 Colorado Asphalt Pavement Quality award, "Best in Colorado,"

• 1999 "American Public Works Project" award, Small Community Street Improvements category for Fraser Street Construction
