ELAM CONSTRUCTION & TOWN OF FRASER WIN NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS AWARD
Elam Construction, Inc. and the Town of Fraser are celebrating winning a national public works award with a barbecue at the Fraser Town Park from 11:30a.m.-1:00p.m., Tuesday, July 25.
Frasers street paving project was selected "Project of the Year" by the American Public Works Association for Small Community Street/Traffic Control. The project included paving streets throughout Fraser that had been gravel and adding drainage and curbing. Over 65% of Frasers streets were paved last summer, and Elam Construction, Inc., was the contractor that performed the work.
"We are proud to have won an award and have received many positive comments from residents," said Town Manager Chuck Reid. "Elam bent over backwards for local residentswe have never seen a contractor work so well with an existing community."
"Elam is honored to have been part of this project," said Harold Elam, President of Elam Construction. "While winning an award is wonderful, Elam Constructions real sense of accomplishment comes from seeing the people of Fraser enjoying asphalt streets, cleaner cars and less dust."
